I usually write these in scrapbooks or cards, or in our traditional birthday book each year… but I wanted to do something a little different for my not-so-little-anymore guy, especially with all the changes that happened this year so… Continue reading

MORE lessons from my baby (well… babies…)
I posted a while back about three lessons I learned from my son when he was a baby. It was right around Holy Week and as we approach that time of year again, I have a few more lessons to share… Continue reading
Bring me ALL the coffee! (aka We’re Still Adjusting…)
March has been a bit of a bumpy road. I think I had this idea that by now I’d have a solid grasp of all our life changes and be back to “normal” and ready to do all the things. I couldn’t have been more wrong… Continue reading
The First “D” revealed and a Year End Wrap Up: Cooking
I’ve learned a lot from consciously trying to improve my cooking and try new recipes this year. There have been ups and downs… recipes that were so forgettable I didn’t even blog about them, epic failures that we threw out, and huge wins that we will keep cooking again for years. Continue reading

It has also been a lot more work, so last night and early this morning I started brainstorming for a post I mentioned I wanted to write a while back- I want to talk about just a few of the ways theatre has helped prepare me to be a parent, or even made me a better parent than I would have been: Continue reading
7 Things I Learned from Losing my iPhone
I called a mulligan on my morning today. I had a really rough start with no coffee, a night of fitful sleeping, some emotional stress, a crazy baby who has discovered that he thinks it is HILARIOUS to throw things we need into the trash and then watch us dig for them, etc. etc.
