Mother’s Day is on SUNDAY! When I told my husband what I really REALLY wanted for Mother’s Day he thought I was a little crazy. He thought I was even crazier when I told him I was willing to combine my birthday and Mother’s Day gifts for it. When I started asking around to see if I was indeed crazy, a few friends suggested I write a blog post about tried and true gifts as well as a few more unique ideas for Mother’s Day… and while it doesn’t exactly fit with my “E” themes for the year, many of the gift ideas are kind of inspired by “everyday” wants and needs. So, whether you’re a mom looking to share a bit of a :hint hint nudge nudge: with your children and significant other or someone who has a mom in their life that they want to show some extra love to this weekend… this post is for you. 2018: Let’s Get Together…
Hello everyone! Can you believe it is almost time for a new year?! 2017 was rough in so many ways for so many people, but there was a lot of good in there too. As 2018 approaches, I’ve been brainstorming what the focus of my blog will be for the year of “E”s. This series of “announcement” posts will be short and sweet so we can all have a little extra time in the final countdown to Christmas and New Year’s… So here’s the first one: Continue reading
Final Year End Wrap up: Daughter, Family, and Delights
These final two focuses are hard to wrap up because obviously they are all subjects that are ongoing. I do, however, have a few thoughts on each of these subjects, especially since my daughter, my family, and finding delight took up most of my focus this past year. Continue reading
How I Beat Decision Fatigue
I’m so excited to share more about how Powersheets has impacted my day to day and weekly routines. If you missed yesterdays post on the 2018 Powersheets and what I’ve surprised myself by accomplishing this year, make sure to jump back and check it out! Continue reading
Dreaming of Fall…
Some people may negatively hurl the word “basic” in my direction for my unabashed love of fall, but I’m already dreaming of cooler weather, getting outdoors more, a sensible amount of pumpkin delights, and my other favorite fall flavors like apples, cinnamon, and caramel. I’m also especially excited about planting my fall garden and while cooler weather may take a while to reach Phoenix, we’re starting to prepare our garden now! Continue reading
2017: How I’m doing on my goals 6 months in- and plans for the second half of the year!
So I am definitely in that weird time flux of having a baby again and feeling like everything is going so fast and so slow all at once. On the one hand I can’t believe how much has happened in the last six months. It feels like much more time should have passed for all this to be possible. On the other I feel like it has been a complete whirlwind and I’m going to blink and it will be December. I’m guessing at least some of you feel the same! I just filled out my Powersheets for the month of July and before jumping into a few things there I wanted to celebrate some of the little by little progress that’s happened during the first half of the year… Continue reading

2017 is 1/4 Over!
The end of March marks the end of the first quarter of the year as well. I feel so disoriented by that! I’m not sure if it seems like the year has gone by way too fast or if an entire year’s worth of events has happened in these three little months. Continue reading
Little by Little… backyard dreaming
Aside from having children, one of the biggest financial decisions my husband and I have made so far is buying our first home. It’s amazing how much that process made us really look at so many variables in life and express what some of our priorities were. Continue reading
Walk Humbly: Accepting Help
I have written in several entries how much I struggle with perfectionism and how hard I am working to overcome that source of stress and unhappiness. Because of that, it is often extremely hard for me to ask for or accept help, even when I need it most. Continue reading
A Goal is a Dream…
I’m sure many of you have heard the saying “A goal is a dream with a timeline” or “A goal is a dream with a plan” and since it’s the new year and I promised I’d share a little bit more about my goals and dreams, now seemed like a good time to write this post. Continue reading
