I think a common misconception is that the things that make us unique or special are unchanging. That they are aspects of our personality or quirks that someone from high school could recognize at your 20 year reunion. The truth is that so much of us continues to change past our initial formative years. The question is if we are going to change intentionally or just going to let life shift us until we look up one day and realize how different we are. Here are a few big changes I’ve experienced over the last 1, 5, and 10 years… Continue reading

Adult Onset Athlete
Something that has been a unique part of my story is how I have become what I jokingly refer to as an “adult onset athlete” and what I mean by that is that if you told high school me- the me who would try so hard to miss the day in PE where we all had to run a mile and who believed theatre and sports were antithetical to each other that I would one day pay people lots of money to go run many many miles I would have told you that you had gotten lost and traveled to the wrong timeline, you must be talking about some other version of me out in the multiverse (my husband and I have been watching a lot of MCU TV shows and movies recently… can you tell? Some Unconventional Mother’s Day Ideas (and some tried and true as well!)
Mother’s Day is on SUNDAY! When I told my husband what I really REALLY wanted for Mother’s Day he thought I was a little crazy. So, whether you’re a mom looking to share a bit of a :hint hint nudge nudge: with your children and significant other or someone who has a mom in their life that they want to show some extra love to this weekend… this post is for you. Christmas Traditions: A follow up
One last Christmas post as I will not be blogging tomorrow or the next day as I celebrate Christmas and then the second day of Christmas with the two sides of my family. I talked earlier this month about traditions and how I’m excited to see what traditions we create as the years go on. Here’s an update on a few more we’ve got this year: Continue reading
