WOW! Can you believe we only have 1/4 of the year left? To prepare for this post, I went and read back through my older goal recaps because I really wanted to think about the progress I’ve made throughout this year and what I want to focus on in this final push before I start re-evaluating goals for 2018 and moving into my year of “E”s! Everyday Acts of Faith
I’ve been a little slow about posting recently, but I’ve been putting a lot of effort into establishing new routines and habits and while that has been really good for my family and for me, Continue reading
Fall Family Bucket List
It doesn’t quite feel like fall here in Phoenix, but since the weather did at least give us the gift of temperatures under 100 degrees (and no current natural disasters… praying for all of you going through those and trying to rebuild!), I figured it was time to dream up a bucket list for the next few months… not sure we’ll do all of it and I am quite sure we will add to it, but it was sure a fun family activity to talk about this and get it started! Continue reading
Dreaming of Fall…
Some people may negatively hurl the word “basic” in my direction for my unabashed love of fall, but I’m already dreaming of cooler weather, getting outdoors more, a sensible amount of pumpkin delights, and my other favorite fall flavors like apples, cinnamon, and caramel. I’m also especially excited about planting my fall garden and while cooler weather may take a while to reach Phoenix, we’re starting to prepare our garden now! Continue reading
2017: How I’m doing on my goals 6 months in- and plans for the second half of the year!
So I am definitely in that weird time flux of having a baby again and feeling like everything is going so fast and so slow all at once. On the one hand I can’t believe how much has happened in the last six months. It feels like much more time should have passed for all this to be possible. On the other I feel like it has been a complete whirlwind and I’m going to blink and it will be December. I’m guessing at least some of you feel the same! I just filled out my Powersheets for the month of July and before jumping into a few things there I wanted to celebrate some of the little by little progress that’s happened during the first half of the year… Continue reading
Cultivate: The Book I’ve been SO EXCITED to share…
Cultivate: A Grace-Filled Guide to Growing an Intentional Life launched this week! I have had the pleasure of being part of the Cultivate Book Launch Team. I have been hardly able to contain my excitement and wait until launch to share this review with you all. This book came at just the right time and deals with ten lies we are prone to believe and contrasts them with God’s truths. Cultivate was written by Lara Casey, the creator of the Powersheets I’m always raving about (sorry friends, they’re sold out until next year’s batch are ready!) While the Powersheets are not specifically a Christian product, other items in the shop, such as the Write The Word Journals I love, make no secret of Lara’s faith and that faith is the central theme of this book. One of the greatest unexpected joys of starting our backyard garden is that it has started to attract butterflies. We don’t even have blooms yet so I’m hoping we get even more once those start to blossom. Aside from the butterflies being gorgeous, they also have a special emotional meaning for me. Continue reading
2017 is 1/4 Over!
The end of March marks the end of the first quarter of the year as well. I feel so disoriented by that! I’m not sure if it seems like the year has gone by way too fast or if an entire year’s worth of events has happened in these three little months. Continue reading
Little by Little… backyard dreaming
Aside from having children, one of the biggest financial decisions my husband and I have made so far is buying our first home. It’s amazing how much that process made us really look at so many variables in life and express what some of our priorities were. Continue reading
