Fall Family Bucket List

It doesn’t quite feel like fall here in Phoenix, but since the weather did at least give us the gift of temperatures under 100 degrees (and no current natural disasters… praying for all of you going through those and trying to rebuild!), I figured it was time to dream up a bucket list for the next few months… not sure we’ll do all of it and I am quite sure we will add to it, but it was sure a fun family activity to talk about this and get it started!
*Enjoy the fall garden (We got a zinnia bloom today after all my spring zinnias died in the June heat wave. They are even more big and beautiful than the spring batch so far!)

*Tea times

*Family Hikes

*Going to the park with the kids (Lots of these have to do with being outside without melting…)

*Pick out a pumpkin and decorate or carve it

*Brainstorm fun Halloween costumes

*Plan Halloween festivities

*Roast Marshmallows

Controversial opinion: Pumpkin cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting from Sprinkles are even more delicious to me than Pumpkin Spice Lattes…

*Zoo visits!

*Bust out crock pot soups and stews and chills

*Welcome back basketball season! (Y’all can enjoy football now… I’m holding out for basketball times)
*Turkey and pumpkin crafts!

*Watch It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

*Enjoy fall flavors- especially apple, caramel, and of course pumpkin (I’ve already been treated to some amazing pumpkin ice cream! A perk of it being so hot in September I guess…)
*Start Sunday Baking again! (I was on a roll with this before my daughter was born and my son LOVES baking with me. It was too crazy with a newborn and too hot this summer to do this regularly so I’m thrilled to start baking goodies with him again!)

I wish jumping in a big pile of leaves was on this list! But we don’t really have fall foliage here. Do you have a fall bucket list? What are your favorite fall activities or traditions?! Have you had any pumpkin delights yet? This is my favorite season so I’d love to hear all about it 🙂
