Oh my goodness… I know I’m not the only one feeling like 2020 is this strange time warp of going so slow and yet being surprised by what day it is because in so many ways the ways we mark time have been interrupted or made unrecognizable.
While my 2020 powersheets have helped me at least make the transition from one month to the next in the midst of quarantine chaos, in so many ways it feels like the world collectively wants to just move on from this year as quickly as possible.
Maybe this is why I can’t wait to dig into the 2021 Powersheets. And why I am so ridiculously excited that they are releasing today during a time where I rarely look forward to things anymore. I wanted to take today to post an invitation for you to join me in choosing a little more hope for next year! If you want to do that with Powersheets, you can get your 2021 goodies HERE and if you want to do it another way, I have a few ideas for that too!

Pictured: some of my favorite powersheets goodies- the goal planner, the amazing pouch (I think this color is no longer available, but their current selection is still awesome!), some goal cards to hang where I can regularly see them, my trusty staedtler pens, and one of my three legacy journals I’m keeping for my kiddos…
If you decide to join me with Powersheets and you have never tried them before, I definitely recommend checking out a bundle of goodies. I am particularly fond of punching things up with pretty stickers and of keeping my pens in their amazing pouch that wraps right around the powersheets. With three littles who all want to use my pens for their own art projects or even just to teethe on (age range 6 years old to 8 months) it has been a game changer to use this sturdy pouch to keep all my things for calendaring and goal planning in one spot. Plus, having something to look forward to changes your brain and makes you happier- if you are wary of putting anything on the calendar lest it be cancelled, you can put things YOU have control over on your calendar. And use pretty stickers to celebrate and keep your brain a little happier.
If you love the idea of Powersheets and that method of goal setting (little by little! progress not perfection! grace filled goal setting!), then I once again recommend Lara Casey’s Cultivate What Matters podcast- she has a whole goal setting series on there that walks you through a more basic version of some of the prep work you can find in the powersheets.

The new coloring and layout of the 2021 power sheet is so streamlined and lovely
I usually do my prep week early to mid-december, if you are really craving a new start you can join in the Catholic tradition of starting the new year liturgically with advent- and this year you don’t even have to wait until December as Advent starts November 29th (I mean, two days early is two days early, right?!) Whether you want to get yourself centered for Christmas in a special way or reboot with adding some Write the Word Bible journaling or Gratitude Journaling to your morning routine, advent can be a perfect time to start and to focus on keeping your priorities centered during what may be one of the most challenging and ever changing holiday season yet.
I don’t know about you, but I am totally craving some time where I look forward with hope instead of dread. 2020 has been all sorts of rough, but you know what? We’re still here. And goal setting isn’t cancelled. And even though I know that all our current problems won’t be magically fixed on January 1, 2021, I am trying to find the hope that planting a few good goals in faith will lead to a fruitful new year.
I’d love to hear about if you have any strategies for staying hopeful and motivated as we move through the final quarter of this year. I’d also love to hear about any Cultivate goodies you decide to invest in and enjoy!
