This post is a bit late and I feel behind on EVERYTHING because summer is such good chaos… but better late than never! Here’s my annual open letter to my son for his birthday: Continue reading

Nostalgia: Reliving Childhood with my Kids
One of my favorite things about becoming a parent is that I have a built in reason to indulge in some good old fashioned nostalgia. There are milestones I’ve been dreaming about since getting pregnant that revolve around sharing some of my favorite things with my kids. I’ve hit some of those and I’m still waiting on others, but it is such a cool experience to revisit some of my favorite childhood memories again but this time through a different lens. More Blog Changes in 2024 and what K is for…
Happy New Year! While I’m starting a week late thanks to how school schedules shook out for winter break this year and the illness we were all gifted after the holidays, I am happy to share that after a year of really taking the pressure off myself, I’m back to writing a bit more often in 2024… Continue reading
Some Places to Explore if your Kids (Or YOU!) are Obsessed with Animals…
One of my hopes this year with the theme of explore was that I would discover things I’d been missing in my own (relative) backyard. I am looking forward to talking about traveling new places later in the year, but I am thrilled with the little places in the metro Phoenix area where we’ve been exploring the past month, so I wanted to share a few today. Continue reading
Fat Tuesday, Lent, Fasting, and the Everyday…
So this is a belated post, it’s a post I meant to put up on or just after Ash Wednesday but in the wake of another national tragedy with the school shooting in Florida I just couldn’t bring myself to finish it. The more time passed, the more I think that maybe some of these thoughts on rhythms and seasons and the everyday are still important for me to put out there so… better late than never, right? Everyday Beauty
I’ve been feeling the call recently to slow down. It’s been the topic at my MOPS group, it’s been something that’s come up in my prayer life, and it’s something that comes to mind when I think of some of my goals this year like celebrating everyday miracles or creating a peaceful home. Continue reading
A day in the life…
Today’s post is a little different in that it is mostly pictures. The title is also completely accurate but also perhaps a bit misleading in that my days rarely look the same from one day to another. What I did was take one picture every hour I was awake. I’ve put brief descriptions but, mostly, I’m letting the pictures speak for themselves… Continue reading
Miracles: A Mother’s Day Reflection
I’m writing this a little early because this weekend is busy- (aside from Mother’s Day, it is also my five year anniversary so I’d like to focus on celebrating that and savoring time with my husband!) but also because my kids are somehow napping at the same time and I felt motivated to write so I thought let’s seize the day!
