My Favorite Books I Read in 2023

I love always learning more. The knowledge I gain from both fiction and nonfiction selections is a core piece of me. And while one of my goals last year was to read LESS that was in service of absorbing more and also of using reading for the pleasure and tool I want it to be instead of the escapism it had become my last pregnancy and the subsequent pandemic… still, I managed to read almost 75 books last year and These are my top 10 (and a few honorable mentions) in no particular order Continue reading

Genuine Thoughts: Rapid Fire Questions

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, one of my favorite podcasts right now is Brene Brown’s Unlocking Us. Whenever she has a guest on her podcast, she ends her interview with ten “rapid fire” questions and since I’m not going to be on her podcast anytime soon (lol) I thought I’d respond to them on here because I find them fascinating and lovely. GOOD listening: A Week’s Worth of Podcast Recommendations

Bonus- this also means you don’t have to dust them/tell your kids to pick them up… Continue reading

Y’all it’s one of my favorite non-official holidays of the year! It’s Powersheets lunch day and I am so excited by the idea of this tool going out in the world to help more people focus their time through grace based goal setting. Continue reading

Frugal Favorites: Return to the Library…

I’ve written before about how much I absolutely LOVE the library– and today I’m coming at you with another edition of why you should be patronizing and supporting your local library, as well as highlighting some specifically cool things you can check out at the Phoenix Public Library for all my Arizona readers. My FAVORITE books from 2018!

One piece of personal progress I made last year was that I started to read quite a bit more. I have always loved reading, but I just felt really burned out after graduate school and had lost the habit of reading as much as I had in the past. Last year, that changed. It especially changed after I quit facebook and suddenly found more time to spend on a chapter here and there- and a chapter here and there really adds up! So without further ado, here are my top 12 books from 2018. Continue reading
