Coffee shop joys

Remember back “in the before times” when it was totally normal to spend hours in a coffee shop catching up with friends and family or getting work done? I had a whole draft I’d update to eventually share on the blog and the draft was called “COFEE SHOP COMPLAINTS” and I’d add to it any time I was trying to work and something would be horribly distracting. Here’s how far I got before the pandemic hit: Continue reading

A few more good things…

Oh man… I have really REALLY ¬†felt the weight of the world recently. It is hard to make myself write anything or get through more than basic survival and my mental health has not been at its best. I know one of the best self care things I can do besides moving my body is to cultivate gratitude, even (especially) when I don’t feel like it… so I’ve been brainstorming some more of the good things from our COVID19 lockdown: Continue reading

Celebrating Life

Happy new year!! It should not be surprising to any long time readers that as we enter the year of Gs one of the focuses of this blog will be GOALS (Because hasn’t it always been a focus anyway?) I’ve finished my Powersheets prep for 2020 and I’m ready to share my goals for the new year! This year’s powersheets prep was a bit different as we know there is such a big change so early in the year. I tried to think of what it was like to do this prep work just before my second child was born but I must have blacked out that period of time because I have no memory of it whatsoever! The Good, the Bad, and the Beautiful of Breastfeeding…

I have to be honest with you, I started writing this post a LONG time ago. I almost posted several times but each time I got a bit self conscious and sent it back to the drafts section. But since this first week of August is World Breastfeeding Week, AND last month I hit my pie in the sky, didn’t think I could do it in my wildest dreams goal of six months breastfeeding, I thought it was finally the right time to publish these thoughts on my nursing journey.
