So one of my focuses this year was babies! Not only my own baby but celebrating the babies of friends and becoming involved in the world of babywearing and helping others with wearing their baby. Well… Continue reading

The Weary World Rejoices…
I’ve noticed that this year many people don’t seem to be feeling the “Christmas spirit” and I’ve noticed that many more just seem downright exhausted. There are countless articles and posts out there about how we should be slowing down for the holidays and make them less stressful, and I completely agree. However, I’m getting the sense that we aren’t all just exhausted from the holidays, we’re exhausted from the whole year. Continue reading
Baking #42: Chocolate Peppermint Cupcakes
In some ways, I wondered if I should count this, but I figured if I counted two different kind of rolls as one project, I could count using a mix as another project. Yes, I used a mix for these cupcakes… but not just any mix… Continue reading
C is for Cooking, that’s good enough for me…
Yes! Cooking is my 42 projects in 52 weeks goal this year. I am excited to have a little more motivation to plow through some of the hundreds of recipes I have pinned. Continue reading
Here’s another C for you…
I’m going to be honest… although I have less to do now that our shows for the year are over, I have been feeling antsy and stressed. Part of it is they typical “post show depression” I tend to suffer whenever I come off of doing an artistic project. But it seemed worse than that. I’ve started feeling better since adding exercise back into my life on a regular basis, but I was still feeling like I wasn’t accomplishing things from day to day no matter how hard I tried. Then my brilliant husband pointed out what might be the problem. Continue reading
Baking 41: PIE round 2: REDEMPTION (sort of…)
We bought a CSA box recently and received some cranberries. I have never had cranberries in their regular form before and since I’m not a big cranberry sauce fan but I do like cranberry juice, I thought I’d try my hand at baking a cranberry custard pie… that and we’re almost at the end of this project and I promised my bestie a pie when I started this blog a year ago, so I thought this was probably a sign to try out baking pie again. (aside from the Hipster Pie I made earlier, but that was a cracker crust so I don’t count it!) Continue reading
Goodbye Bs and Hello Cs…
Just a quick post today that I wanted to sneak in during little guy’s nap time. As the year winds down I will continue to recap the Bs including today’s recap on Blogging. But the biggest news about blogging is that I am planning to continue blogging in the new year because it has been helpful for me this year, so I will be revealing some of my new focuses for 2016 throughout some of the remaining posts this month and the first reveal in my year of Cs happens in this post! Continue reading
Year End Wrap Up: Bardolatry
I learned a lot about Shakespeare this year and did a number of shows that were either Shakespeare or Shakespeare related. I learned that, like almost everything in life, Shakespeare looks different through the lens of parenthood. Continue reading
December: All is BRIGHT
It isn’t quite December yet, but I wanted to post today because I actually had a good chunk of time to write this weekend. I already shared a bit about what I hope my holiday season looks like, but I have a few Advent specific things I wanted to talk about for today’s post. Continue reading
Baking #40 : THANKSGIVING ROLLS
Thanksgiving happens twice a year for us because I have parents who are separated but who live in the same state. I used to try and squish in both sets of family on the same day but it was always stressful and often disappointing to everyone involved so I love that since starting my own family we have been able to work out a way to split the day. Since I’ve been baking all year, my contribution this year was bread. a whole lot of bread. Continue reading
