I am so blessed to have barely bought ay clothes for my son for the last four years. There are a few reasons for this, but by far the single biggest one is hand me downs. Continue reading

Exploring: Getting Outside of Phoenix!
Saturday was my wedding anniversary! It was a really lovely day because we got to escape the heat of Phoenix and have a whole day without the kids, just being on an extended date of exploring a new place together. Continue reading
50 Everyday Joys
Happy Easter! I know Easter itself was Sunday, but Easter is actually a whole season that lasts several weeks up through Pentecost. I wanted something cheerful to post today to continue the celebration of the resurrection so today is all about joy. I am thankful for so many things- my family, a roof over my head and food in my house, clean water, but I wanted to make a list that focused more on specific things I am thankful for that are “everyday” and bring me a deeply personal joy, even if they are joys shared by many other people I know and love. So without further ado: Continue reading
Another E for 2018
I’m continuing my series of posts revealing what I’ll be focusing on in this blog for 2018. The year of Es already includes Entertaining and Exploring and Endure. Lots of fun and special possibilities there, but I think today’s reveal is perhaps less flashy but more of a source for some of my best blogging content: Continue reading

How I Survived (and even DELIGHTED in) a Road Trip with Both my Littles…
This article was originally published on Perfection Pending, you can find it HERE. Perfection Pending is a fun parenting blog and I was delighted to contribute. They are actually sharing a syndicated post of mine next week, which I’ll be sure to share on my social media channels. While I wrote this post just after our summer trip to California, I figured now was a good time to repost in case any parents are planning to travel by car during the upcoming holidays! Continue reading
A day in the life…
Today’s post is a little different in that it is mostly pictures. The title is also completely accurate but also perhaps a bit misleading in that my days rarely look the same from one day to another. What I did was take one picture every hour I was awake. I’ve put brief descriptions but, mostly, I’m letting the pictures speak for themselves… Continue reading
Happy August! Adjusting goals after my social media fast…
After a month of no new posts and only checking in more or less once a week on comments and social media sites, I am so excited to get back to blogging and to be more intentional about my time online and on my phone. I have a post I’ve been waiting months to share that will go live later this week, so keep an eye out, but in the meantime I’m ready to recap a bit of last month and talk about some new goals and focuses for this month: Continue reading
A letter to my son on his third birthday
I usually write these in scrapbooks or cards, or in our traditional birthday book each year… but I wanted to do something a little different for my not-so-little-anymore guy, especially with all the changes that happened this year so… Continue reading
Productivity does NOT Equal Fulfillmet
I don’t get a lot done these days. To do list items sit for weeks that used to easily get checked off in a day. I have to be very intentional when thinking about where I want to put any extra time or energy I might have, and some days that gets me down. But something happened that reminded me of the perspective I should be having about this time… Continue reading
