Goal check in: 3/4 of the way through 2017! Plus, October goals….

WOW! Can you believe we only have 1/4 of the year left? To prepare for this post, I went and read back through my older goal recaps because I really wanted to think about the progress I’ve made throughout this year and what I want to focus on in this final push before I start re-evaluating goals for 2018 and moving into my year of “E”s! Coffee & Jesus

So I don’t consider myself a “mommy blogger” even though I write a lot about my experiences with my family which includes my two children. I’m happy to know that I’m reaching lots of people who are not parents as well as fellow parents who may understand some of the specifically toddler or baby centered posts more acutely. In that same way, I don’t consider this a faith blog or specifically Catholic blog, but I will never shy away from the fact that I am a person of faith and that my whole lens of how I view the world is through the perspective of faith. But today’s post is going to be a little more direct than usual. Continue reading

Dreaming of Fall…

Some people may negatively hurl the word “basic” in my direction for my unabashed love of fall, but I’m already dreaming of cooler weather, getting outdoors more, a sensible amount of pumpkin delights, and my other favorite fall flavors like apples, cinnamon, and caramel. I’m also especially excited about planting my fall garden and while cooler weather may take a while to reach Phoenix, we’re starting to prepare our garden now! Continue reading

Happy August! Adjusting goals after my social media fast…

After a month of no new posts and only checking in more or less once a week on comments and social media sites, I am so excited to get back to blogging and to be more intentional about my time online and on my phone. I have a post I’ve been waiting months to share that will go live later this week, so keep an eye out, but in the meantime I’m ready to recap a bit of last month and talk about some new goals and focuses for this month: Continue reading

2017: How I’m doing on my goals 6 months in- and plans for the second half of the year!

So I am definitely in that weird time flux of having a baby again and feeling like everything is going so fast and so slow all at once. On the one hand I can’t believe how much has happened in the last six months. It feels like much more time should have passed for all this to be possible. On the other I feel like it has been a complete whirlwind and I’m going to blink and it will be December. I’m guessing at least some of you feel the same! I just filled out my Powersheets for the month of July and before jumping into a few things there I wanted to celebrate some of the little by little progress that’s happened during the first half of the year… Continue reading

Cultivate: The Book I’ve been SO EXCITED to share…

Cultivate: A Grace-Filled Guide to Growing an Intentional Life launched this week! I have had the pleasure of being part of the Cultivate Book Launch Team. I have been hardly able to contain my excitement and wait until launch to share this review with you all. This book came at just the right time and deals with ten lies we are prone to believe and contrasts them with God’s truths. Cultivate was written by Lara Casey, the creator of the Powersheets I’m always raving about (sorry friends, they’re sold out until next year’s batch are ready!) While the Powersheets are not specifically a Christian product, other items in the shop, such as the Write The Word Journals I love, make no secret of Lara’s faith and that faith is the central theme of this book. How I Get Organized for the Week, plus JUNE Goals!

After my monthly goals post about my Powersheets, I had questions from a few friends about what this cool planner thing was and how it worked so I thought I would walk through how I get prepared for each week, including how the PowerSheets are different than my planner and how I use those two tools together! Continue reading

Dreaming Together

I’ve posted a few times this year about my own goals and dreams and how I am breaking down those goals month by month, week by week, day by day. In light of my anniversary a few weeks ago though, I wanted to post a bit about setting goals with your significant other. Continue reading
